For over 20 years, HCAC has continually implemented programs aligned with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust including but not limited to:
- Economic Development
- Financial Planning workshops for youth initiatives
- Annual Scholarships for rising college freshman
- Educational Development
- Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy. The Academy program enhances the education of young females (ages 11-14)
- Delta GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully). An expansion of Delta Academy, Delta Gems enriches the lives of African American at-risk, adolescent girls aged 14-18.
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Annual donations to Mary Help of the Sick Mission Hospital
- Annual Water Well contributions via Vision World and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
- Physical and Mental Health
- Actively participate in National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), Sickle Cell Anemia and St. Jude’s walks
- Annual Health Fair “Unlocking the Key to Health – Journey to Wellness
- Political Awareness and Involvement
- Local Voter Awareness, Education and Registration
- Partnering and actively participate in Delta Days at the General Assembly
- Actively participate in legislative campaigns to uplift the community and encourage change
